Life in 2009

Posted at 07:38 PM on December 28, 2009

Now that the year 2009 is near its end, I just wanted to say a few things.

The fact that the US President Obama was successfully Inaugurated in January 2009 is unique and historic in real terms. I always believed the white Americans would one day elect a black man (or woman) for their President, if he/she was really qualified. It appears that President Obama is. This may just be good for the American people and their real friends worldwide. See "The In...

Chicago and the 2016 Olympic Bid

Posted at 10:56 AM on October 06, 2009

Now no one will really say it was not worth trying to get the 2016 Olympic to Chicago.

I know some will use it as tool to try and say that the President and his Elite team failed and so they will in other essential area.

That is just not true and unrealistic. Yes they did not get the games to the US, but American Politics and Americans point of view will not necessarily be based on one international unfortunate outcome.

So they are Warning us again about Dollar Stores Items.

Posted at 05:56 PM on July 17, 2009

We know in America that the economy is in a low state of normal or regular prosperity. This is in terms of the flow of money to consumers from good jobs and the salary they are accustomed to receive. Since that is not available to now (i.e. the money) to spend on the finest quality consumer goods, some have turned (in a greater extent) to the Dollar Stores.

Now they are us telling us that:

"Dollar stores have filled a niche for years for inexpensive, off ...

To all Americans and genuine friends of America, happy 4thof July 2009 week-end.

For those of us who knew him via his songs...Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

Posted at 06:40 AM on June 27, 2009

Some of us only really knew Michael Jackson from his music. Others have been close to him and his extended family over the years and can say more.

I grew-up listening to his Thriller album music as a teenager in the 1980s and remember how it was such great fun to listen to the songs and share with friends at parties, etc.

Michael Jackson was not really an inspiration to me because I am not really a music person at heart. I am a writer. Written inf...

The serious penalty for illegal download from the internet

Posted at 06:11 AM on June 20, 2009

Some of us may have heard this week about the case of a woman who was found guilty in America of illegal downloads and ordered to pay by the court.

We also know that there are millions of people like her whoare doing the same thing every day in the United States and worldwide in many other countries. But she is one of those unfortunate people who got arrested, tried and found guilty. Now she has to pay a huge sum of money as compensation penalty.

What I saw this Semester at a High School in Philadelphia

Posted at 06:43 AM on June 13, 2009

It is almost the end of the regular school year at the High Schools in Philadelphia, PA (USA). But what I saw this Semester will always be remembered.

Students were so disrespectful to a particular teacher, it was almost unbelievable. I am talking about freshman (grade 9 boys and girls). Those who have worked in public schools in America know that cursing by students (and some staff members) is an everyday thing. But when students started to show explicit sexual and ag...
